How long does the course take to complete?
The academy is designed to be completed at your own pace. You can move through the curriculum based on your schedule and return to the material for review as needed.

Yes. Students who successfully complete the course requirements and assessment will receive a Distinct SMP Academy certificate of completion.
Is there an assessment?
Yes. The course includes a knowledge assessment designed to reinforce the key concepts covered throughout the academy.
Can I take the online academy before attending the in-person training?
Yes. In fact, that is one of the primary purposes of the online academy. Completing the foundational material first allows your hands-on training time to focus more heavily on technique, judgment, drills and live-model experience.
Do I need SMP equipment to take the online course?
You do not need a full professional setup simply to study the foundational material. Equipment requirements become more important when you move into practical training and hands-on application.
How long will I have access to the course?
Your enrollment includes 12 months of access to the Distinct SMP Online Academy, giving you plenty of time to complete the curriculum and return to the material for review as you continue developing your skills.
